Hazel Roberts spends her time exploring the personal, the political, and sometimes the playful. She works across a variety of media and sees bookmaking as a way of slowing down, exploring narratives and trapping ideas. Preferring to work using traditional print methods she is heavily influenced by Dada, Bauhaus, French cinema, and the need to bite back from all the bad advice given at art school. Since graduating in Fine Art from Cardiff in the late nineties, Hazel has exhibited nationally, gained a Masters in Design and participates in a variety of research projects and symposiums. Hazel is based in Manchester.
